Hey, I'm Anirban

I'm a hiker, storyteller, and someone who believes the mountains have something to teach us if we're willing to listen. I've been documenting my trails across India — from the Himalayas to the Western Ghats — since 2021.

Every video and reel I make is an honest account of what it's actually like out there: the beauty, the struggle, the silence, and the occasional wrong turn.

Whether you're planning your first trek or your fiftieth, I hope something here inspires you to step outside.

Connect Your Real Data

When you're ready, plug in your actual YouTube and Instagram accounts. Here's exactly how to do it — no coding experience needed.

YouTube API

  1. Go to console.cloud.google.com
  2. Create a new project (e.g. "Anihikereels Site")
  3. Enable the YouTube Data API v3
  4. Create an API Key under Credentials
  5. Copy your Channel ID from your YouTube Studio URL
  6. Replace the placeholder cards above with a fetch() call to:
    https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/search?part=snippet&channelId=YOUR_ID&maxResults=6&order=date&type=video&key=YOUR_KEY
💡 The free tier gives you 10,000 API units/day — more than enough for a personal site.

Instagram API

  1. Go to developers.facebook.com
  2. Create an App → select "Consumer"
  3. Add the Instagram Basic Display API product
  4. Generate a Long-lived Access Token for your account
  5. Fetch your latest posts via:
    https://graph.instagram.com/me/media?fields=id,media_url,thumbnail_url,media_type,permalink&access_token=YOUR_TOKEN
  6. Replace the placeholder grid cells with real <img> tags from the response
⚠️ Instagram tokens expire every 60 days. Set up a simple cron job or use a service like Later to auto-refresh.

Need help wiring this up? Just ask — I can write the exact fetch code for your channel ID and token.
